Last year on a whim I decided to buy a Nikon FG film camera. Even though I’m a musician and if I have any creative expertise the majority of it lies there - it’s not always possible or convenient to create in a musical way so I in order to teach my hands and eyes how to do something new so I could create even away from my instrument and writing I picked up photography.
This was my first successful roll of developed film. The first two I had were exposed because I didn’t know take them out of the camera correctly - which was also a very frustrating experience because I had taken nearly three months to shoot the first roll and then a month to shoot the second. So after this roll I was determined to get it right.
These photos are from a Fall 2012 weekend visit I made to Brooklyn for a show I had with my band, Jungle Fires. During the trip we ventured around SoHo, Brooklyn for the show, Saturday morning breakfast at Le Barricou, and nights in Williamsburg.

The first in a migrational series of photos from the old meandmyfg.com to the ever new manassehdavidisrael.com.
In an effort to make things easier to find for you guys and for myself you’ll be able to find all of my film photography, and then some, on the flag sight here.
These of me, and a couple of my dear friends, Emari, and Tori. More coming.
Much love everyone, and thanks as always for stopping by.
